How far in advance should we book your videography services for our wedding day?

For optimal availability, it is advisable to book our videography services as early as possible. Currently, bookings are open until 2026, making it advantageous to secure your reservation at least two years in advance.

While we understand that wedding plans can vary, we recommend avoiding last-minute arrangements, ideally booking no later than 4 to 5 months before your special day. This ensures enough time for detailed discussions, planning, and guarantees our commitment to capture your wedding celebration.

Can we meet or have a consultation before booking your services to discuss our vision?

I highly encourage a meeting or consultation before booking your services to discuss your vision for the wedding. We can either arrange a face-to-face meeting or through an online video call, depending on your convenience. It is mostly encouraged to arrange a meeting before the booking, but if your wedding date is in the more distant future, we can schedule the consultation at a later stage closer to the event.

Would we be able to customise any packages based on our specific needs and budgets?

Certainly! Each package comes with the flexibility to choose from available extras and add-ons. We understand that every wedding is unique, and special requests for extra deliverables can be accommodated, creating a personalised package tailored to your requirements.

We approach customisation on a case-by-case basis, ensuring that your wedding videography experience is as unique as your love story.

What are the benefits of booking a second videographer and aerial drone coverage?

Opting for a second videographer and aerial drone coverage offers numerous benefits. A second videographer introduces fresh angles and perspectives, providing a more comprehensive view of your wedding day. With a second camera, there’s increased coverage and constant supervision of the most crucial moments, ensuring that no significant detail is missed and the most important moments are available in multiple angles.

Aerial drone coverage adds a cinematic touch by offering stunning aerial shots, perfect for establishing the beauty and context of your chosen locations, and ensures a unique perspective of that famous venue entrance you’ve been dreaming of.

While not a necessity, these additions contribute to a richer and more dynamic portrayal of your wedding day, enhancing the overall visual storytelling experience.

Can we provide any input with regard to the creative aspects of the wedding films?

Absolutely! We welcome your input on the creative aspects of the video, as it’s essential to capture the unique essence of your story. Client preferences, ideas, and any specific requests discussed before filming will be carefully considered and incorporated wherever possible. This collaborative approach ensures a good match with the client’s desired vibe.

While creative input is encouraged, it’s important to note that the final say on the video’s content and style rests with the artist. This ensures a cohesive and artistically consistent result while still honoring your individual preferences. Open communication before the wedding day is key to having the perfect balance between your vision and our artistic expertise.

Lighting is a crucial factor in videography, and while good natural or venue lighting is recommended, I understand that evening or indoor events might pose challenges. If possible, considering additional lighting options for the venue is always a good idea. However, it’s important to note that relying solely on natural or existing lighting in challenging venues may not guarantee optimal results.

To address this concern, I bring my own high-quality lighting equipment to enhance the visual quality of your wedding video. While I can work effectively in various environments and low-lit venues will still result in high quality wedding films, having good lighting conditions significantly enhances the overall product.

How long will the final video be, and what is the typical turnaround time for delivery?

The length of the final video is determined by the chosen package, with details provided in a PDF document during the early stages of inquiry. Highlight trailers typically range from 3 to 5 minutes while documentaries vary between 40 to 60 minutes.

As for the turnaround time; Instagram Reels offer an almost instant glimpse of your wedding day with a 48 hour turnaround time. Highlight reels are usually delivered within a month, offering a concise, cinematically detailed perspective for your special day. For more extensive documentaries, the turnaround time extends to approximately three months. Please note that these timeframes are slightly flexible and may vary based on the specific details of your project and current workload. Communication throughout the process ensures transparency and keeps you informed about the progress of your personalised wedding video.

How do you usually connect with photographers to ensure a seamless experience?

Collaborating with photographers is usually a straightforward experience. In many instances, the photographer is familiar, having worked together previously. To ensure a smooth process, I always reach out to the photographer ahead of time. We discuss the timeline, our respective methods of work, and exchange ideas for optimal coordination.

I often propose the idea of couples considering a joint meeting with both the photographer and videographer. This provides an excellent opportunity for everyone to align on expectations, ensuring a cohesive approach to capturing your wedding day. Given the similarities in the work of photographers and videographers, having both professionals present at a joint meeting allows the couple to receive guidance from two individuals with similar objectives.

Do you require any specific arrangements or information from us that would help the filming process?

For a more organised filming structure, feel free to share any specific preferences or styles you have in mind. If there are particular shots you’d like to include or prefer to avoid, just let us know. Being informed about any planned guest speeches during the reception is important. If you have a general timeline of events, especially for the reception, that would be helpful. And if you’re up for it, consider a pre-planned family shot list for the reception. To streamline this process, designating a member of the groomsmen or bridesmaids to take responsibility for gathering people and guiding them through the shot list can be incredibly beneficial.

No pressure though! We’re here to make things as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. Anything you share helps us better prepare for your special day.

How do you ensure that our personalities and preferences are reflected in the final video?

Our consultation meeting and ongoing communication will play a crucial role in establishing the desired vibe for your wedding film. Other details such as the venue, the wedding season, decorations and the unique personalities present during the day, will also help set the mood for the editing process. The creative elements of the video, including music selection, colour grading, and flow, are carefully chosen to reflect the atmosphere and emotions of your wedding day.

Upon signing the contract, a non-refundable retainer is required. In the event of a cancellation, any payments made beyond the retainer will be refunded.

In case of date changes or postponements due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be either accepting or declining the service request based on our availability. No extra costs will be incurred for a change of date that the business is available for. However, if the business is occupied on the client’s chosen day, the retainer will not be refunded.

The business is not obliged to provide a replacement, but it may explore the possibility of an alternative videographer for filming only, with video editing done by the primary videographer, subject to availability.

Are there any additional costs we should be aware of, such as travel fees or overtime charges?

The included coverage encompasses filming from the groom’s residence up until the reception dances and the cutting of the cake. Please be aware that for afterparty DJ coverage, an overtime fee will apply. Additionally, there are specific travel fees to note. A fixed fee is applicable for weddings in Gozo, and for weddings abroad, travel fees will be incurred accordingly. It’s always encouraged to discuss and clarify any potential additional costs during the initial consultation to ensure transparency.
